My Journey
My journey started with me drawings anime as a kid. Later on I moved to abstract before landing on my current style, contemporary. Most of my paintings have been inspired by post-impressionism creations, as I too paint to evoke emotion. My paintings emerge from my emotions, they allow me to look past my fears and create a safe place where I can feel like myself. When i paint with acrylic or watercolors i take my inspiration from my environment and nature. I like these paintings to have organic shapes. I'm a big fan of Disney mainly because of the colour palette and emotional storytelling. I also pay homage to my Incan heritage by using gold and vibrant colors. I connect with rococo style, because of it's elegance and immediate architectural impact it has.

I started my formal education with Art at OCAD University in Drawing and Painting. In my second year of study i decided to major in Illustration. Since then I have learned many digital skills and have even pursued my interest in photography. My time in University has allowed me to explore different types of styles, my favorites include texture, layers and bright colours.

My journey as an artist, has brought me so much joy and curiosity over the years. My recent paintings have been about Fear. Fear has encouraged me to express what I truly want, by taking what I am afraid of and turning it into what if's; What if I didn't feel scared, alone or worried.? To accomplish this, I like to visualize a specific emotion of a moment I've had then I proceed to paint any negative feelings i have into something positive. My semi-abstracted paintings and digital work are the best representation of me. I hope to be able to help others feel, recognize and process emotions and experiences.
